We have planted over a million trees since 1998, and we specialise in both turning fallow field into woodland using new native woodland planting, and sympathetically expanding existing, established woodland. The trees we plant are mainly deciduous for both amenity woodland and timber production. We always ensure trees are adequately protected against rabbits, hare and deer and will plant using different types of tree shelter or fully protect new planting with fencing. We aim to plant UK sourced trees with proven seed provenance.

Quality and reliability are paramount in everything we do, and as such we also hold a Gangmasters License for manually planting trees.

We are very experienced both in planting new farmland hedging, and renovating existing boundaries. Whether it is establishing an entirely new hedge, or replacing a hedgerow that was removed in the 50’s or 60’s. We are also able to advise on species choice, location, and maintenance.

Once the initial planting has been carried out, it is essential to properly maintain the new planting through weed control. We offer maintenance of new planting principally by chemical weed control and also by strimming and inter-row cutting. All herbicides used are approved for use in the environment. We are able to carry out regular woodland maintenance tasks such as path and ride maintenance, cutting and maintenance of wild flower meadows, and tree safety work.

We offer design and installation of all types of woodland and farmland fencing, such as rabbit, stock fencing, post and rail, deer fencing, field gates, stiles, kissing gates and cattle crushes. Whatever your requirement, we can advise you on the best solution for your particular situation. We aim to use timber from FSC approved sources that is pressure treated to prevent rot and decay and wire products that hold the relevant BS standards for both manufacture and galvanising.

Being specialists in our field, consultancy covers everything we do, but specifically we are able to assist with Forestry Commission grant applications for new and established woodland under the English Woodland Grant Scheme (EWGS). We also offer consultancy on mature woodland areas to help keep them in good condition and enable you to make the most out this priceless resource both in the short and long term.

We are able to offer various infrastructure services, such as restructuring a site for public or disabled access, advising on and installing surfaced paths and trails, cycle ways, timber walkways, bridges, new entrances and ponds for wildlife and livestock. We have also installed new car parks and made provision for better access to new and existing woodland.
